About The ASJMF

The Andrew Service Jr Memerial Foundation was established out of the 21st JDC Vetearns Treatment Court in memory of Andrew Service Jr. A veteran who served in the Air National Guard and lost his battle with addiction. Our missioin is to honor his memory and to support and serve the veterans that are still fighting by offering assistance and resources to aid in their recovery journey through Veteran Treatment Court. Our vision is to be able to serve all veterans.

The Andrew Service Jr Memorial Foundation is here to honor the memory of Andrew Service Jr and to make sure all veterans in recovery have a fighting chance!
 Veterans Treatment Court
The Nation's first treatment court specifically developed for veterans was started on January 4, 2008, in Buffalo, New York, by Judge Robert Russell.

Veterans Treatment Courts seek to treat veterans suffering from substance abuse and/or mental health disdorders, wile helping ensure public safety. These special courts combine rigorous treatment and personal accountability, with goal of breaking the cycle of drug use and crimial behavior.

The first Veterans Treatment Court was estabished in Louisiana in 2014 in the 14 JDC. Today there is five Veterans Treatmwnt Courts In the State of Louisiana.
